The Beshoar Mausoleum

North of Trinidad and west of the Masonic Cemetary, high on a hill sits the Beshoar Mausoleum.  You can read about Dr. Michael Beshoar at the link below from the Huerfano World Journal.  If you do read about his amazing life and impressively long list of accomplishments you may want to visit this beautiful structure... DIRECTIONS- If you enter the Worm Hole Trail going north off of the dirt road that leads to Simpson's Rest and walk about 3/4 of a mile and look east (to the right) you will see the back of the Beshoar Mausoleum. This is private property, but their are no fences gates or warning signs. https://huerfanoworldjournal.com/michael-beshoar-doctor-and-developer/

Day Trip to Stonewall

I guess they call it "Stonewall" for a reason, but the Dakota Wall* is the geological name of the landmark that defines the village of Stonewall Colorado in the town of Weston. I drove to Weston Colorado today and got a few photos. It's 45 minutes from Trinidad CO, where I live. According to this internet source** "Stonewall was named [after] James Stoner, and it has been said the Dakota Wall the dominates the landscape was originally known as "Stoner's Wall". " Go ahead and laugh... 'weed is legal, ha ha'. This was a great day trip though and just a few miles (15) further up Highway 12 are beautiful mountain lakes and the Rocky Mountains. Nice accommodations in Weston/Stonewall. * http://spanishpeakscountry. com/activities-attractions/36- 2/the-dakota-wall/ ** http://southerncolorado.info/ city.php?id=59
